During the night, special sensors record the activity of your heart, lungs, and brain ; the movements of you muscles ; air flow from your nose and mouth; and the level of oxygen in your blood. in in addition, your body movement are video taped and snoring, talking or other noises you make while you are sleeping are recorded. A technician watches the recording on monitors all night long to observe you and makes sure that there are no problems with the equipment. If you have sever sleep apnea syndrome during the night, the technician may provide a device called CPAP that keeps your passage open and helps you breathe.
